Through engaging, hands-on lessons, students will learn the essentials of baking while having fun in the kitchen. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will build confidence as they master key skills, from properly measuring ingredients to experimenting with new flavors.

Each week, students will bake something new, from classic chocolate chip cookies to creative cupcakes, savory breads, and more! By the end of the course, they’ll have the skills to impress friends and family with their homemade treats.

This is not your average baking class—this is KLA Chopped: Baking Challenge! Designed for students who’ve already mastered the basics, this advanced experience blends baking with critical thinking and collaboration. With weekly challenges, mystery ingredients, and creative themes, students will rotate in teams to bake, present, and grow.

Whether crafting filled cupcakes, bread rolls, or elegant tarts, they'll be pushed to think on their feet while using real-world baking skills. The final weeks culminate in a team bake-off judged by guest parents. Students gain confidence, sharpen their skills, and have a blast doing it.

Grillin’ N Chillin’ with Dr. T is a 16-week, hands-on middle school enrichment course where students learn grill safety, food prep, and summer-ready cooking skills while trying burgers, veggies, pizzas, desserts, and more.

 

Each session blends practical technique with food science, teamwork, and hospitality from a biblical worldview—celebrating gratitude, stewardship, and sharing a meal in community. Come hungry, learn the sizzle, and leave confident to grill for family and friends!
